Madeira Beach

May 19, 2012

A few of my friends and I are trying to set up a getting out of school cookout on the beach. We want to know if you can bring a gas grill with propane on to a beach, named madeira beach, in florida. Please only serious answers. I really need help on this. Well, I have your answer. Normally it is illegal to use propane grills on the beach because of environmental concerns. You can always double check with your local city officials or your state website, but if you can’t find a definite answer, don’t do it.

Vacation Rental

May 18, 2012

My wife and I just retired and are planning a U. S. Vacation tour. We are wanting to know the best way to book vacation rentals throughout our journey. We haven’t picked any states to travel to yet, but would like to visit most if not all of them. In the past we have used KeyVacationRentals. Com, but just wanted to see what others are out there. We also would like to only book from vacation rental site. Thanks for your suggestions. Do you know what I found? I’ve been using Owner Direct Vacation Rentals for several years now, and I’ve always had a great experience both in finding the perfect place(s) to stay, and with their customer service reps. . They’re the greatest. I’d have a look around at Owner Direct Vacation Rentals and just start picking places along your route. It sounds like a great way to plan a vacation. I’ve actually done that myself, on a smaller level, with just two different places lined up one after the other, and it was just great. It’s so much nicer arriving at a vacation home, than it is arriving at a hotel. . So much more relaxing. Hope this helps.

Turtle Beach

May 17, 2012

I have turtle beach px21 and I have a VGA cable that connects to my xbox 360 and samsung 23 inch led monitor. My monitor has a dvi and rgb port. I don’t know how to connect my turtle beaches though. I don’t know where to plug my red and white cord from my turtle beaches and the red and white cord from a VGA cable for my xbox 360. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. You don’t need to connect the headset to the monitor at all. That’s only if you want the game sound on the monitor speakers. Since you didn’t have your XBOX connected to the monitor in the first place, then you can skip connecting the headset to the monitor and just connect it to the XBOX with the white and red RCA jacks.

Beach Vacations

May 16, 2012

My best friend and I are planning to take a girls trip this winter sometime in March. It will be both be our 1st time going anywhere tropical. We are thinking either Punta Cana (dominican republic) or Mayan Riviera (mexico) because they have white sand beaches, and aqua water. We also don’t want to pay too much, trying to stay under the $2500 mark. We don’t want anything too busy or Americanized. We still want some adventure, where we can go exploring, and find secluded beaches, etc. . Any suggestions on where we should go? Belize is also an option, I heard it was pretty cheap, anyone know? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. Well, I have your answer right here. Belize Yucatan Penn area (away from Cancun Mex) Costa Rica? Panama? USVI Jamaica (some wild sites here-bring guide). BVI. Caribbean area?? (save Aruba). Key West FL?

Carolina Beach

May 15, 2012

Summer brings with it warmth and high humidity. The season also offers the opportunity for heat weary folks to escape to the mountains or beaches for a well deserved rest. In North Carolina, there are several beach destinations worth visiting; nine top sites are featured here.

1. The Outer Banks — Perhaps the most well known of all the beaches in the Carolinas, the Outer Banks offers much history as well as attractive beaches. You can visit the spot where the Wright Brothers first took flight in Kill Devil Hills as well as the first European settlement on Roanoke Island.

2. Bald Head Island — Got feet? You’ll need them here as no cars are allowed on the island. You can use an electric golf cart to get around, however.

3. Atlantic Beach — Located on the eastern end of the Bogue Banks this resort is part of the Crystal Coast. Historic Fort Macon State Park is a popular nearby attraction.

4. Figure Eight Island — Got money? You’ll need it to visit this private, exclusive resort.

5. Oak Island — Located in Brunswick County, below Wilmington, Oak Island is one the few south facing beaches along the east coast. Lots of golf courses in the area including at least one champion course.

6. Sunset Beach — Just three miles in length, Sunset Beach is the southern most of the Brunswick Island beaches. The only link to the mainland is a one lane pontoon bridge. Wow!

7. Carolina Beach — Located between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, Carolina Beach features shopping, a boardwalk, a state aquarium, and the Carolina Beach State Park.

8. Topsail Beach — If beachfront high rise developments turn you off, then this is the place for you as strict zoning laws rule the land. During the 1700s pirates roamed the nearby waters. No word on whether Blackbeard’s treasure has ever been found.

9. Wrightsville Beach — This busy beach is frequented by Raleigh area residents as it is the closest beach to the state capitol. Still, out of state visitors find it to be a favorite resort.

From the Virginia border to South Carolina, North Carolina’s beaches offer visitors much more than sand and ocean breezes. Pick one of these destinations and you will truly have plenty of fun in the sun!

Beach Villas

May 14, 2012

We booked at the Long Bay Beach resort a beachfront room which had a beautiful high vaulted wooden ceiling, a very large king sized bed, and a full length sliding glass door, so we had just the most beautiful views, and there was a cosy sun deck for us to sit on. The air conditioning worked well and we weren’t frozen as we have been in other places, and I cannot complain at all about how well we were looked after.

We woke every morning to the sound of the sea, opening the curtains, and seeing the view was almost the most outstanding part of our vacation. On top of this, the island of Tortola itself is simply beautiful, with plenty to see and do, and there are excursions to a number of other islands you can take such as Virgin Gorda, and Jost Van Dyke.

It has to be said however you will need mosquito repellent cream!!!

There were complaints about the beach being too rocky and loads of sea urchins, but people are so lazy on their vacation. If you were prepared to walk a short way up the beach, and they disappear!

There is an all inclusive option, but quite frankly I think it is such a waste. All inclusive is great when there is nowhere to go because your hotel is miles from anywhere, or the surrounding area is not safe, but Tortola is lovely, there are good restaurants and the crhyme rate is low.

I would advise you to rent a car, it’s not expensive in the BVI and it is much better than taxis for exploring. You should drive, not walk to Smugglers Cove, Cane Garden Bay, and visit Quito’s, where the food is almost as good as the music!!

Old Orchard Beach

May 12, 2012

I’m in college right now and I will become an officer in the Air Force when I graduate so this summer is my last free summer. I really want to get a job at Old Orchard Beach and live there so I can have a great summer. It is also the perfect time since I’m 21 now. Does anyone know how to get a job there? Usually you would go and get an application but I’m pretty sure the stores are all closed there until summer. Also does anyone have any tips for getting an apartment there. After speaking to others on the web, I found the answer. There are several places currently open that you can check with for summer employment in our Town’s hospitality/tourist industry. You can start by visiting the Chamber of Commerce website at and check out the listings for lodging and dining. There’s a symbol indicating who’s open yr round so you can call to speak to the business owners or managers. Even some of the closed motels answer their phones yr round to take summer reservations, so you can consider calling them too. Another option is to take a drive here and personally go to the open businesses to apply. Old Orchard Beach is a great place to live, work and play. We have wonderful businesses in Town and good employees are always welcome. The Chamber site also has a link to “members” which lists businesses that rent apartments in Town. Hope this is helpful and hope to see you here this summer.

Daytona Beach Fl

May 11, 2012

I am planning on going on a little vacation to Daytona Beach, FL in about two weeks. What is a nice hotel off the beach for around $100 a night in Daytona. Essentially — The features and benefits of each hotel are different, so it’s hard to do your thinking for you. But this search tool may help : Daytona Beach : – It compare 35 Daytona Beach hotels with instant confirmation on bookings up to the last minute from $80 per night per room – that’s $50 each for 2 of you. The benefits are that you receive discounts on the normal rates which means you can stay in better hotels for less price, but you may need to be a little flexible on the price. Think about the location and facilities – these are the offsets of value which may help you raise your budget a little.
